A lifestyle campaign by Capitec Bank

The Challenge

Primary: To showcase the benefits of banking with Capitec Bank as part of the #BankBetter #LiveBetter campaign and to reinforce the brand’s stature as a premium bank. Secondary: To increase Capitec’s Instagram following and to provide exposure to Capitec merchants in different parts of South Africa.

The Idea

Atmosphere partnered with top lifestyle, travel and food influencers who align with Capitec’s brand, to personify - through creatively curated content - the #LiveBetter experience on Instagram. The co-created content reinforced the premium nature of Capitec within the local travel and lifestyle Instagram community.

The Solution

13 influencers were identified from South Africa’s biggest cities and were sent to premium getaway destinations to uncover some of the hidden gems in several regions of the country as part of their #LiveBetter experiences. Each getaway incorporated a touch point with Capitec’s top merchants. Here the influencers creatively curated content to showcase the merchants offering as well as the discounts received for being a Capitec client.

The Results

The Instagram-led campaign garnered an impressive total engagement of 2 462 418, with 2 072 981 total impressions from 196 social media posts.
